THE ARTISTS & THERE MATERIALS
Rosalie Gascoigne " All that Jazz 1989"
The artists work was always constructed from old materials around
the property where her and her husband lived in outback Australia, namely
sawn & split strips of soft drink crates and retro reflective road signs.
"all that jazz 1989" the artist used swan & split "scheweppes" crates and
applied them to plywood to form woven & vibrant caulage of fertility an images
that represent the waste of packaging of products we often diregard.
Fiona Hall - " Understorey"
The Artist approach was one of blossoming forms and earthy colours,
constrcuted with fine wire which is threaded with fine colourful minute
glass beads into patterns that resemble a natural response to the environment,
the pieces have a resemblence of organisms and living things.
