WEEK 3 - VIDEOS & MATERIALS
Last weeks lecture took us down the road of "MACINIMA"
as we approach the completion of the first experiment in "ARCH 1101"
"THE 36 TEXTURES"
This image explores what it might be like for the
artist in the first floor studio, while visitors to the centre
veiw the artists work
This is and external image of the sketch up model
the cladding on the external wall in the middle is one of the
textures produced during last weeks studio session
I produced this texture by taking the felt out of the end of the pen and rolling it onto a coin and then rolling the coin on to the page
This image is from the lower ground floor studio
and give a fell of what it may be like for the artists to be in there studio while vistors veiw the artists work in the exhibtion area
The texture of the mass concrete stair wall, risers & treads in the image is this one to the right produced in last weeks studio session, i produced this texture by taking the felt out of the end of the pen and applying the ink to the cap of the pen and then lightly dabbing the cap onto the page.

THE ARTISTS & THERE MATERIALS
Rosalie Gascoigne " All that Jazz 1989"
The artists work was always constructed from old materials around
the property where her and her husband lived in outback Australia, namely
sawn & split strips of soft drink crates and retro reflective road signs.
"all that jazz 1989" the artist used swan & split "scheweppes" crates and
applied them to plywood to form woven & vibrant caulage of fertility an images
that represent the waste of packaging of products we often diregard.
Fiona Hall - " Understorey"
The Artist approach was one of blossoming forms and earthy colours,
constrcuted with fine wire which is threaded with fine colourful minute
glass beads into patterns that resemble a natural response to the environment,
the pieces have a resemblence of organisms and living things.

WEEK 2 - STAIRS
The stair i have chosen from the exhibition area to the upstairs studio, is a solid mass of concrete, with a polished concrete finish, with curved treads fanning out from the bottom to be narrower at the top so from the exhibition area it feels inviting and open to the viewer, i have also tryed to keep the studio spaces visible from the exhibition area so the artist and visitor can interact with each other.
The sketchup model is bassed the words "VIBRANT" & "BLOSSOM"
"VIBRANT" & "BLOSSOM"

WEEK 0 - SEMESTER 1 - 2009
Tree through a glass sphere a photo i took when
experimenting with my camera, The braches of the
tree are more defined through the sphere then the real
thing in the back ground.
The Sydney Opera House the first building i had a reaction
to when catching the ferry to Manly for the day as a child as a beautiful structure.
Copacabanna sunrise on beautiful summers morning happended
to be up there that morning at a mates place & was woken by the
sound of pounding surf so went down for a look & found a big swell
& a beautiful sunrise, actually spent about an hour driving between
Avoca & Copa taking photos what a treat.
